Grades 4-8
In these writing mini-workshops, students use their hobbies and interests
as a launchpad for their writing journey. Topics such as character
development, story setting, and conflict are explored with fun, engaging
activities. Students will leave these workshops with new ideas for
creating active and entertaining stories.
These presentations are approximately 50 to 55 minutes long, and work
best with 20 to 50 students.

“Many students mentioned that
Derek’s presentation made them feel they definitely want
